Busy. Very busy.
April 7th~ Second opinion at UNC
April 14th~ Fetal Echocardiogram and a regular OB appointment
April 21st~ Daddy's birthday, U/S at the MFM doctor in Greensboro, and a meeting with the genetic counselor
April 25th~ Family Wedding
April 26th~ Walk/Run in Charlotte in Megan Grace's honor
All of this and we are considering dropping the second opinion at UNC and going to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. I've been in contact with them and am in the process of getting some questions answered to be sure it is a good decision. I'll keep you all posted.

I think you are smart to explore all your options with the Hospitals and Doctors. Keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about your little girl, and we will be praying hard for a miricle. Also, I hope I am not forward in saying this, but you can also look into getting a photographer to come to the hospital and take professional pictures of you all when she is born-a lot of photo people will do this type of service for free for still births and such. If you hadn't thought about it, it might be nice to find one to do it for you. Also, you might whant to try to do a handprint ornament (you can get the kits at michaels) and do a hand and foot print, so you always have those, like in a stepping stone or on a little ornament, or even in paint so you can frame it. And a lot of funeral homes will give you baby urns for free or at a large discount. A dear friend of mine lost her son right before her due date-you might find comfort in talking to her, and get some ideas in how to put together memory items for you little Megan Grace: http://blog.mom4life.com
ReplyDeleteYou are in our prayers that the doctors are wrong, and great job looking into all your options. Hugs to you all.
Wow - that's a super busy April! It was great to see you tonight. You are an amazing woman. I think it's great to get a 2nd opinion and to consider other options for doctors. Hang in there - hugs and prayers.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog and you and your daughter have been in my prayers. If you do go to Hopkins and don't mind sleeping on an air mattress I can most likely hook you up with a free place to stay (a currently unoccupied apartment). Email me if you are interested.
